How I Run My Life
This page is my playbook the five pillars I use to stay grounded, grow, and keep building cool stuff. They’re systems I can lean on whether I’m coding, lifting, jamming on guitar, or taking a quiet Sabbath. Everything here works with or without an audience, and it keeps me steady even when life flips upside down.
Introduction
My life runs on five pillars that keep me grounded and moving forward. They cover what I build, how I stay fit, how I feed my mind, how I play music, and how I stay connected to God. They’re simple systems I can lean on whether I’m shipping a project, training, or just sitting with my thoughts.
The 5 Core Pillars
Creation (Programming & Engineering)
I love building stuff — from little npm packages to full-on systems like VintLang, Ekilisense, and Ellie. Writing code that works and keeps teaching me is the kind of craft I want to get really good at.
Key Activities:
- •Hack on VintLang, Ekilisense, Ellie CLI, and other side tools
- •Push commits often — even small cleanups or experiments
- •Contribute to open-source or share snippets on GitHub
- •Ship a meaningful project or library every few months
Music (Expression & Flow)
Music keeps me balanced. Whether it’s beatboxing, a cappella, guitar, or piano, it’s a way to get out of my head and just create something cool.
Key Activities:
- •Jam on guitar or piano after work
- •Practice beatboxing and a cappella riffs
- •Record quick demos or harmonies when inspiration hits
- •Drop at least one rough track or loop each month
Body (Strength & Presence)
Training keeps me sharp and steady — I don’t do it for show; I do it so I can handle pressure and stay present.
Key Activities:
- •Gym or calisthenics 4–5 times a week
- •Play basketball when I need to reset my head
- •Work toward progressive strength goals
- •Keep sleep and meals consistent so gains don’t vanish
Mind (Learning & Philosophy)
I feed my mind with programming deep-dives, books, and philosophy notes. I want a clear, creative head that can handle both logic and big-picture thinking.
Key Activities:
- •Explore Go, Rust, Zig, and other tech that stretches me
- •Read at least one good book a month
- •Journal insights and map them to real projects
- •Question my own assumptions and refine how I think
Spirit (Faith & Solitude)
My faith gives me calm and direction. As a Seventh-day Adventist, I need quiet time with God to keep everything else in perspective.
Key Activities:
- •Daily prayer and short scripture study
- •Sabbath every Saturday — no grind, just reset
- •Take quiet walks or sit in silence when I need clarity
- •Unplug or fast occasionally to stay focused on what matters
Principles for Living This Life
Own My Path
Everything here works even if I’m solo — no waiting for permission.
Adapt Fast
If I’m traveling, I grab a portable keyboard; if I’m sore, I switch to mobility work.
Cross-Feed
Coding sharpens discipline, music fuels creativity, training keeps focus.
Consistency Beats Hype
I rely on steady reps, not random motivation bursts.
Track the Wins
Commits, gym logs, and journal notes keep progress real.
Play the Long Game
By 2030 I want solid open-source work, a body I’m proud of, music released, deep faith, and a steady mind.
